Burlington, Ia; Jan. 26, 1942 My Dearest: - Just got home and it is about twelve o'clock. I gave Margaret McMillan her permanent tonight and didn't get through until after nine o'clock & then Marie McBride called and wanted me to go with her, down to see Ted Lewis Orchestra at the auditorium. They had a very large crowd and really put on a good floor show. They had a twelve piece band and seven girls & two men with them. They had the best contortionist I have ever seen. I don't believe she had a bone in her body. I got your card this morning, written from Kansas City. Was so glad to hear from you and am hoping to get a letter in the morning. I see by tonights paper, that some American troops have already landed in Ireland. I am wondering
