Burlington, Iowa, Mar, 29/1942 Sun. P.M. 4 o'clock. My Dearest: It is a miserable day. It has been snowing off and on all day and is very chilly. I went to sunday school and church both. They baptized quite a few babies & small children and also some grown ups. They took quite a few into the church by letter & Confession of faith. We had fourty six in our class this morning. Not such a hot lesson I didn't think, or maybe it was me. They can't beat my honey. After dinner I took the kids down to the shop and cut the boys hair & gave them all a shampoo. Then went to the office & Max and Mr. Griesel & Matt were there & we talked about getting the office supplies & furniture moved out. The brought quite a few of the files out and some important papers. We measured the
