DSO, 80th Div, Camp Forrest, Tenn July 16, 1942. Dear Dorothea: I just received your letter of the 13th with clippings, ect. I guess the $20.00 per week downstairs is enough. So you don't have to do anything about it. It is only in case you want to object that you have to do anything. So you can go ahead and rent it for $20.00 per week (or less) but you have to furnish them the things listed. Otherwise they could claim a violation. In case you rent the upstairs apartment to some one else than the Jemisons - then the new tenant has to read and sign it on the back and you have to notify the Rent Area Office WITHIN 5 days on form DD125 - you had better just go down to the Area Rent Office & fill it out & leave it there. Have the tenant sign it as soon as he agrees to rent & BEFORE HE MOVES IN. Be sure & keep this paper - better put in front of bank book. I got Ruth's receipts & put them on the file. We still owe her $100.00, but that has paid off pretty fast, hasn't it? Let the blank receipt go & I'll get some here at the 10¢ store before we need any more. Three weeks from now will be about - Sunday was July 12th - 19th - 26th - August 2nd. Can I count on you coming down about then? At least for a week or so to look around. You might bring Mother & that would make her feel fine and still she could go back when you go back after your stuff. They rather think we
