P.S. Carry Forrest has two "rrs" in it. JNC will be here most of a year, training; but you never know. Also a part of that would be maneuver training and would be out quite a bit. I think you should come down temporarily first and look around and get some ideas. Then you can go back & make your arrangements to come for good. If this does not appeal to you - let me know and we can think some more. There is a trailer advertised in tonight's paper & will see what can do about it. A trailer might not be as nice in some ways but since only you and the three kids would be in it - and they would be out most of the time - it ought to suffice. And with the rent which we would have to pay for a house or an apartment - applied on the trailer - it would go a long way to pay for it @ $50.00 per month & could live in a trailer better than a house in this warm weather- (it is really hot down here). Also, when & if we go out on a two or three monthls maneuver or even 6 - then you would be all set to go along & have your place all fixed. Too bad about Mrs. Ward. Hope she either shows some decided improvement or that in case she doesn't that she will not have to suffer severely. Gosh, I'm surely broken up over your dress. Couldn't you have some sort of a fringe sewed on to make it long enough - in other words put a decoration around the bottom like you do the collar around the neck. Hope you enjoyed the Avon. Enclosed is a copy of the Special Order showing me a part of the th Division. Lovingly yours- John N.
