Mar. 30, 1943 Dear Dorothea You really must have had quite a party with the Wrights, and am so glad you did. I was supposed to get over and see him the 17th but couldn't get away. I thought he was beginning to show his age, didn't you? I guess their schooling has been very strenuous. Glad you got the income tax deal all closed up. Now I suppose all we will have to do is wait for them to raise a lot of questions. I can't see why our taxes should be more this time than before. I'll try & see about it when I come home. I'll tell you what I made on the Radio stock as soon as I get a statement from them as to how much it will net. It will be around $400.00 profit. Wish all of them were that good. Did I ask you to have Vince to make a list of the notes we owe at the bank? If not, will you do so? I've lost my file on them - oh, well - you might as well let it go until I come home & I can take care of it then. I wrote a check for $10.00 today to the County Clerk, Coffee County, term for license. So be sure & put it on your stub. Too bad about Lucretia Edwards. I read about it in the paper, also. That darn furnace is taking lots of time & worry.
