Feb. 13, 1943 Dearest Dorothea: Well, Saturday is over. We had two classes and then at 11:00 we had inspection. It was pretty rugged but I got by ok. School is getting quite a bit tougher now and more reading to do all the time and such little time to do is in. So just read as much as I can and let the rest go. You are doing ok to fix the stoker like you did. Guess you'll have to send yourself a bill for about ten bucks and then write yourself a check and then go out and spend it. I've already written you about the Homestead Exemption maybe they have changed the law some. The refrigerator repair wasn't so bad, if they did repair it as they should. I don't see why Mother can't stay there until we find out what I'm going to do. Have you found out any feeler as to who might want to rent the house if you leave. Don't wait until the last minute to find out who is interested cause then its almost too late. You can find out who might be interested regardless of whether you are going for sure or not. So start talking. Glad Ruthia is so much better. I still think it was her teeth. Did you tell her? What did she say? I suppose Dorothy must be getting along ok or you would have heard by this time. She should be going home pretty soon, shouldn't
