Burlington Ia Mar. 12, 1943 My Dearest: Rec'd two letters from you today and was as happy to know you are feeling better & that my visit did you good. It sure helped me out too. Honey I did enjoy it so much. I always do though when I am with you. I was too tired to write last nite, and I didnt get through work until ten o'clock. I run out of ink, so you will have to be satisfied with a pencil. It is almost 6:30 and I wanted to dash this off before I go home, so I can mail it. I have had a very busy day. It has surely been a beautiful one though. It is quite warm today and sun shining. We are going out & help Marian pack tonight & take our suppers. She sure is having a time getting away. Do you want me to pay the Burmingham taxes? When are ours due? I must pay them too. Let me know what to do. Carol wasnt feeling so hot today. She is sick at the stomach. Hope she will get over it without a siege of flu or measles or something else.
