Burlington Ia Sun 5 PM. My Dearest. Have tried all day to find time to write you a few lines, but it seems that Sundays are as hectic as the week days. Mrs. Sellars didn't clean for me yesterday & so when I got home Sat. nite, I had to scrub & clean the bathroom. Then this morning, I put my dinner down in the well in the stove and we went to sunday school & church. We took the kids up stairs with us & they were real good. When we got home dinner was done & we ate. Then after dinner your mother washed the dishes & I cleaned up the house. We just got started cleaning down stairs when Veda called & said she was coming over & she has been here all afternoon. She just left now. I enjoyed having her, but missed my nap. I got some ice cream & made some chocolate to put over it & we had some cookies. Claude came up on the afternoon trains and will take the 7 o'clock bus home. I guess he gets kind of blue on sundays. He seems to enjoy coming up here. The kids have been out most of the afternoon. It is cold out, but clear & there is quite a strong wind. I guess Marian leaves two weeks from today for California. We are all invited over to Hamff's tonight. We are not going for supper, but will probably have a little lunch later in the evening. I surer hate to see her go.
