Burlington, In Jan. 28 1943 My Dearest: - Just got home from work and am pretty tired. I worked all day today. I came out at three & got Carol & Cliff & took them down to dancing school. They like it real well now & are both doing better. While they were at dancing class, I thought I would go up & get the car license, but when I went up there, they were lined up for a block, so called them & asked if I could mail it to them, so that is what I did. They were $14.00 this time instead of $16.00. Marjorie called from Lincoln tonight. She had just had a telephone call from Van from San Diego and he had rented a house for them, so she is going in about two weeks I guess. She is going to try & rent their house. She said Van was fine & so were all the children. She had a nice trip she said. Sure is fine he found a place for them. I only hope we will have some good luck after this time. Enclosed are two checks from Radio Corp. They may come in a little handy right now. Don't know whether I should send you any more mail at Tenn or not. They can forward them to you. I didn't get any letter from you today. I surely missed it too. It has been a beautiful day out, except for a little sloppy underfoot
