Camp Claiborne, La. Sunday, Mar. 16, 1941 Dearest Folks: I received your good letter and was so glad to hear from you. Glad that you had a day or two off for home work for I know it worries you with all the things at home. It sounded like you were spending lots of money but you have to do that to get it ready to rent and I know you have very good judgment about household goods. With $1528.40 in the bank, you will have the furnace - about 350.00 and 350.00 for the plumbing lines about $800.00. Out of this you have to pay Whittkamp and the sanding which will be about 200.00 leaving 600.00 in the bank to use with the 2500.00 loan
