JAG School Ann Arbor, Mich Feb 6, 1943 Dearest Dorothea: I got two more letters today- the one written the 3rd & the one the 4th- so everything should be on schedule from now on. So happy to learn your foot is much better and surely hope it continues to improve rapidly. Hope your working on it doesn't bring about a relapse. Surely don’t want you to have a situation like mother had with hers. Certainly sorry to hear of Ed shoving off from Burlington but no doubt he has some idea of what he wants to do and it may be for the best after all. Hope so. But does look very risky when he has such a drain for support of his family. But I guess it is better to change locations in good times than in bad. Glad to hear that John R & Cliff are back in school. I'll bet you did enjoy your stay at home & I'm glad you got to have one- even if you did almost break your leg to get it. Now do you see why I thought it would have been such a nice thing to have put a shop in the house and you could have had lots of time at home and still been able to have all the work you wanted. I still think it is a good idea- but won't press it unless you get enthused about it. So Rufus came back, did she? I'm more convinced than ever it was abcessed teeth all the time. Well, it is nice that she still thought enough of you all to come back and see you, anyhow. I guess you did
