I'll make yours our separate. I don't know whether you should have had the trees trimmed or not. Did they really need it? I expect the house will have to be roofed and/or painted this summer. Better keep that in mind as a possibility. It is good news to learn in your last letter that Mother is feeling pretty good and is getting stronger. The little stirring around which she has to do there may be a benefit to her, rather than a hardship. We have our first inspection in the morning. It is an "instruction" inspection- to advise us what we are to do and what we are not to do. I hope to come through it OK. I've had to use the "Little House-wife" sewing kit you gave me quite a bit in sewing on shoulder insignia. I wear the Service of Supply, which is the red circle in which is a blue 5 pointed star in a six curved white base. As only one point of the star is squarely in the center of a white space- that is the point that points up. And I didn't get it right so will have to rip it off of my blouse and overcoat and sew it on again. School really starts Monday and I guess we'll be plenty busy. We had 36 in our drill today. No gym this afternoon so walked over to the suburban district to buy some more shoulder patches. This is such a swanky places that even the paper clips are brassy. Enclosed is one as proof. Love and kisses to all, Daddy
