I don't see why you can't plan to come up and stay a week or so while I am here. It would be swell to be with you again and we could see a little of Ann Arbor while I'm already here. You could drive up - is isn't so far - when the winter starts to moderate some. So keep the idea in mind and we can work out the details later. So happy to learn that the swelling in your ankle has gone down. I'm so sorry that you had to get hurt. Alas that I'm not there to help and comfort you. Too bad about John R & Clifford's colds. I'm just as sorry as I can be that I didn't get to say "hello" to Carolly Ann, but she would have when all scared if you would have tried to awaken her in such a hurry. Maybe I can call you again later on. I suppose the refrigerator is just about worn out, but can possibly be put in running condition again for a while longer. Maybe the furnace situation is on account of the coal. Had Mother seen her poem in the paper? Tell her that now that she is an "author", the next project is a book. Of course it will be hard work, but that's why they make so much money. Our class is beginning to report in by twos and threes. Must close. Loads of love & kisses to all. Daddy.
