Camp Forrest Sunday, Jan 24, 1943 Dearest Dorothea: Well, we worked on inspecting the medical department personnel going out on the cadre this morning. We started at 8:00 and examined 67 men. Major Kueffel - the assistant Corps Area Surgeon was here to supervise it. We checked their intelligence tests and then to see that they had no court martial records - then examined them by questioning to see if they knew their job and how to perform it. We found one man incompetent and had a question on one or two others. Col Boal and I were on the Inspection team for the Medical Department personnel and there were other officers to examine clerks, Chauffeurs, etc. We are supposed to go out on bivouac next Tuesday. It is a swell day today
