Camp Forrest, Tennessee January 17, 1943 My Dearest: Sunday - and a beautiful day. I got up fairly early and washed some belts and came up to the office. Major Winston was here and Mr. Case. Major Halleck went to church at 9:00 and I went home and got ready and went to Church. Chaplain Woods preached. He gave a good sermon but wasn't as good as Chaplain Gunther. Or at least I don't appreciate his style as much. Yesterday afternoon (Sunday) I went to the show and saw "Casablanca." I thought it would show some of the things Verle McBride wrote about or sent the pictures of - but the picture was all laid inside the city - mostly in the American Cafe. It was quite good and enjoyed it a lot. I'm glad my letters are coming through OK and will try to get you one written every day so you won't be so lonesome. I hope your worries get less and less until you won't have any at all. I think you did OK on the chimney deal. There wasn't much else for you to do. I'll write
