I think I already told you about Sugar Boal being in the hospital. She had an infection in her right ear. They were quite worried about her but she is much better now. The Col went over to see her this morning and took me along. We went out to see the Ranger School in operation. They are teaching them to be big and tough. It is the American Commando branch. We saw them capture the Nazi village using live ammunition and also saw them swing a jeep across a river on two cables - also a 37mm gun. They cut dynamite just like baloney and don't seem to have a care in the world. They toss it around and explode it behind the class - to keep them awake and to make them move around. No word from my tire yet. The board at Manchester had used up its quota but was trying to get more. I told them I had to have it to change station and didn't want to go away and leave the car here. But just have to wait and see. Hope things are coming OK with you and that you have some solution to the housekeeping problem by this time. Heaps of love & kisses. Daddy
