Camp Forrest, Tennessee Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1943 My Dearest: Just received your letter of the 10th and will dash you off a letter while I've a few odd moments. It was nice of Claude to come up and see Mother and I know how much she appreciated it also. I was certainly relieved to learn she is better and can eat some - for when she can eat - she isn't so sick and vice versa. I guess there isn't anything else for you to do but stay at home and take care of the family if you can't get anyone to stay. But don't worry about it - just go ahead and do whatever you have to do. If you could get some one to work during the day - you could have regular hours and be home when the kids are. I think all the Pumphrey abstracts were turned over to Ben that I had. The best I can do in case you can't find it is to look for it when I go through there about Feb. 1st. I will
