Ruth is working on the apartment and is it ever dirty. I don't think they ever cleaned it up. Mr [Witkamp?] is going to put one coat of paint on the bedroom floor. It is worn off pretty bad in spots. It is a good thing we have a week to clean it up in I guess. I didn't receive any letters from you today so suppose I will get two tomorrow. I surely hope so. This has been a beautiful day. Not so very hot, but just right. I gave Lucretia [illegible] a permanent this morning & she was asking all about you. She is looking a little better. How do you like it down there now? Is it an awful lot hotter there than it is here? Honey do you think it is safe for me to start out on these tire, for another [1200?] mile trip. Or shall I come on the train? The [Griesel's?] leave for Soux City thrursday morning. They are [illiegible] the [illegible] for a week. Mrs [Griesel?] hadn't been at all well, so think the change will do her good. Well sweetheart I must get to bed. Will see you real soon. Devotedly yours Dorothea & kiddies
