all O.K. Gee, honey is seems like longer than two weeks since you left. It has been so lonesome without you. I miss Johnnie boy too, I haven't heard anything more from him. I suppose he will stay for a couple of weeks yet. He has only been there a week today. I heard a bit of scandal yesterday. Mrs. Charlie Scott was in, & Marie had been down here & she said, Neva, & Geneva [Jermison?] & Helen Tucker were going to the dogs. Said they were making all the beer joints in 7 & Madison. Isn't that awful? She said they call them, the bar butterflies. I didn't think that Neva would do that. I guess they haven't heard from Stub for a long time. He was on a tanker the last they heard. I don't know how anyone could treat their husband that way, when they were in service. I'm sure I couldn't. I guess, if it stops, I will take the kids to sunday school. The day is so long when I don't, Sunday's get me down. Miss Jacqueline [Lilly?] was in yesterday & she had heard I was leaving & she thought I was very foolish. She said I couldn't follow you around & that when I left, the business would go to the wall, when they knew I wouldn't be back. Just as good as to say she wouldn't stick. I guess her sister got peeved because she couldn't get in just when she wanted to while I was gone, and went over to the Vogue. I suppose I have lost her. Of course, I think it is just a selfish motive there for they are thinking about themselves. What kind of weather have you been having? So it hot there? I hope it will cool off & stay for a few days after this rain. The rain is sure coming straight down. I hear the kids talking, so guess they are awake. They have been sleeping later since John K is gone. An insurance notice came yesterday. Will enclose it. They tell me our fire [illegible] on the house doesn't come if a fire was caused by [illegible] or something. Do you think I had better see Miss Blanke about that? Well honey, I have run out of any thing to write about. I still wove you wots. Hugs & kisses Mommie & Kiddies
