My Dearest: Just finished work and am all ready to go home. We had a lousy morning. Nellie and Blanche didn't have anything and I had two appointments. I suppose business will go all to the devil now. The Colonel boy couldn't do it, so the girls did it . I paid the cleaning at [Suckels?], the telephone fee for the office, the electric fee, [Schesmans?] and the Gazette for the one I sent you at the house until April. I tried to pay the metropolitan, but no one was there. I went down to the bank and put the deed in the bank box, also the application for Homestead Exemption. Vince was away, so didn't get to talk to him. Did you mean for me to bring your cotton kaki shirts and do you want your wollen pants? Don't know when I will be able to come down because the weather here is bad again. It has been raining out all day and so dark. I suppose it will turn into snow or sleet. I hope not. I haven't seen Max for a couple days as so don't know what he thinks about driving down. He has been terribly busy I guess. I took some mail up this [noon?] and pushed it under the door
