[illegible] 5:30 PM My Dearest- Just a few lines while I am waiting on an appointment. Well I didn't get much written a while ago, so will finish now. It is almost seven o'clock and I am through work. Business had been rotten this week. I didn't work at all this morning. I stayed home, and cleaned and dressed [illegible] and put all your letters in the locker + then couldn't lock it. There was a key in the thing, but couldn't get it to lock. Don't the key fit it? Say honey, I found the West Publishing Co. statement + am enclosing it. You can use that check to send in if you want to, or if you want to send it back to me, I will mail it in. You didn't tell me whether to pay it or not. I am also enclosing a letter I rec'd from your mother and the [Burrs?] and the B.P.O.E you can throw them away when you get through reading them. I have some news for you. Donald [illegible] is coming home on a [illegible]. I think 15 days. He is going to stay + see you, so I imagine it will be this week end maybe. Then he told his dad he would be home for his birthday, which is the 29th. He said he had a surprise for them. I don't know whether he is going to be transfered or discharged or what. They are so excited.
