Burlington, Ia Friday nite 10:30 My Dearest:- Well Don Griesel arrived on the four o'clock train this afternoon. I called out there a few minutes ago and talked to him. He said he was pretty tired from the trip home. We thought he had a great time in [Carlisle?] Barracks and said he left you in pretty good spirits. He said the climate was so damp is why he thought you couldn't shake your cold. So sorry to hear you are having a sty too. You must be sort of run down. I sent you a special this morning and you should have it by sunday morning anyway. Daddy, a man called me today and I believe he said he was with the Credit Bureau or something like that and he was taking your office for a while anyway and wanted to know if you would rent a desk and chair. That is all he wanted. I told him, I didn't know whether you would want to rent it or not. He asked me if it was good furniture and I told him very good, which I think it is. I just don't belive it would pay to drag it down there for such an uncertain thing, do you? That is what he said. He didn't know how long they would be here and didn't want to buy
