Burlington IA May 30, 1942 12:30 a:m My Dearest:- Just two and a half hours since I wrote you the last letter. I came home, and fixed some ribbon on the kids may baskets, as tomorrow is may day + helped clean out some dresser drawers + then got ready for bed and while doing so I found out some good news the news I have been looking for, for five days, so Couldn't even to go sleep without writing it to you too. I am certainly relieved and know you will be too. It isn't that I wouldn't want if if we could afford it, but don't see how we can. So you can be at ease now. I am so sorry I worried you at all.
