Burlington GA May, 22, 1942 10:30 pm My Dearest:- Just got home from the shop. I had to work again tonite, as the permanent I gave last [Tues?] nite, didn't stay + I had to do it all over + give her a [spiral?] curl. I wrapped 33 curls. Wasn't that tough luck? She curled this time all O.K. It was one of the clerks from [Schramans?] + it sure made me sick. She brought me home when we got through. I had a very busy day today too. Gave Mrs Mark Walsh a permanent today. [Cosgrove?] has been in Ft Riley instructing a class + now they have sent him back to the east I guess. I bought a gasoline can (5 gal) + I am going to take the car down to [Thye's?] garage tomorrow + have him drain the Prestone out + put water into the radiator tomorrow. He said some morning, I would just leave the car there all day. I shall ask him about the extra tire also. I rec'd [these?] letters from you all at once this A.M. + all with a different time. I am
