midnight until eight in the morning & then goes to bed, but for some reason he didn't go to bed until later this afternoon. Honestly I get so fed up on having to kiss people's rear I don't know what to do but nothing to do, but take it. Havn't been able to rent the back bedroom yet. Not even a call tonite. The people are still in the apt. I see by tonights paper than Rosie & Max are going to be married May 28th at St. Patrick Church. I suppose we will receive an invitation. That will mean a wedding gift too. What do you suggest. We have had terrible rains all afternoon. It was quite windy & hailed some but it just poured down. I'll bet they got some bad storms someplaces the way it looked. It rained so hard, it washed little gullies in places in the yard. Some of the spouting leaks. There should be a trough to go from the house down to the drain by Mc Creery's. The grass looks fine. Sorry you are having to work so hard honey & hope you will think it was worth it after you get it. I just don't have any doubt but what you will make it, for you are plenty smart. John R. wove a little rug at school out of yarns & he brought it home to show me & then he has to take it back for exhibit until school is out. He is so proud of it & it is really nice. He did a real good job on it. He told me he got 100 marks today in spelling & arithmetic. He is a smart little dickens. He takes that after his daddy. How in the dickens do you suppose that submarine got into the St. Lawrence? That is getting too close to suit me. Gladys said she mailed you those pictures & meant for you to keep them. Did you understand it that way? Or did you just not want to keep them on acct of getting too much luggage? She didn't know how about it. I guess I can get the car sometime tomorrow. He said to call him, I guess he is very busy most of the time. Just when do you want me to start out? Arlene graduates in June. I must get her some kind of a gift. Do you think your mother will ask to go along back East? What shall I do if she does? Do you think [Van?] might be able to get a tire for me, as long as he is a doctor. He will probably be [illegible] next. Must stop now to get a little shut eye. Goodnight[ Affectionetaly?] Yours Dorothea & Kids
