town as the canteen furnishes most of the things that they wish. I can't just describe it but I like it better here than at Bowie. The town is much smaller but I believe that is a good thing. I received my baggage tonight and so feel much better to get my things to sleep on. I have not heard any more about the time of our leave but from all arrangements I think it will not be for very long. I have had only one letter from you but suppose they must be down to Bowie. I saw a list which we must have. We will probably get it from Q. M. at N.Y. Well I will close my daily epistle with love to you and Helen. I miss you more than I ever did any thing or body in my whole life. Yours with love, Walter
