where oil is located. They have two boys in the army, both in the cavalry, mechanized units. One is at Fort Riley Kansas, & the other at Laredo Tex. They both went to school at Culver & had R.O.T.C. so they are 2nd Loutenants. He was a personal friend of Gutzon Borglum and has entertained him in his home, bought some of his paintings on Borglums recommendation. So you see I've been hobnobbing with the elite today. They are staunch Methodists, always lived in Texas, Democrats but not entirely for Roosevelt. This sounds an autobiography or something. I expect but it is something different to write about. Now the dinner it was great, beautiful linen, fine silver, butter and everything. Southern fried chicken in immense quantities, creamed new potatoes, fresh peas, baking powder biscuits chicken gravy, salad with white grapes, pecans & a couple of things I couldn't make out, good, olives, hearts of celery. pickled peaches, jelly. Finished off with ice cream and brownies. Gosh was it good. School is going okay I think seems to anyway. This education we're getting costs the gov't $1500 or over to give us. If we get it in
