so today we are scrubbing the barracks. I think there are only four G.I brushes for the whole barracks so it takes a long time. I'm writing this while awaiting my turn. I've learned not to pitch in and scrub first because there are lots who just let the willing fellow do it. It looks big when they carry all the bunks outdoors. Had another letter from Aunt Cora yesterday and one from you and Florence Kent. I sent Mr. Kent a card but it didn't reach him in time. Also got a letter from Marilyn Kohls & Mrs. Kohls. Marilyn said I was the first boy she'd ever written to. Im glad Vivian is going out to Denver I hope they have a nice home out there and can get to spend some time together. We had to scrub out the hanger last night thats really a job wheel out 25 or 30 planes and then scrub it out with brooms & finish off with squeegees. It seems like 40 acres. The days are hot here and nights cold I sleep under an army blanket and heavy comforter and am just comfortable, windows must be opened from top and bottom both, which just suits me. I started this letter last night but finished it this morn. Must close as the G.I brushes are getting closer. Love Johnny
