they truck in. Im getting worried about my birthday box I still haven't gotten it. My mouth has watered for those cookies ever since you said it was coming Perhaps I'll get it today sure hope so. I couldnt gotten a card from the Dibbles either this mail business isn't handled so efficiently around an army camp Im afraid. Ive got to wash some clothes again today my coveralls are the worst. They are new ones I'd never worn before and will be hard to wash I expect because of the sizing or filler or whatever it is that stiffens new denim. Everyone is lazy this morning laying around waiting for this inspection typical army procedure we've been waiting since 8 oclock & its almost 11 now. We are all getting anxious about moving out of here. Lots of machinery & tools have been packed and there are lots of rumors about when we move. I think it will be around the first of September, at least a couple of weeks from now. This is not a bad camp out here the weather has been fine, the air at this elevation is good, you had the correct elevation I just noticed it down on the ramp where the planes take off. It hasn't been so unbearable hot and the nights are grand. These hills around camp are as dry as tinder what little [rags?] & scrub that grows up on them is just crumbly its so dry. Caught a couple of lizards and horned toads last night, the lizards are pretty little fellows with black markings & dainty lavender stripes & their legs are yellow. Love Johnny
