August 26, 1942, Wendover  Utah 
Dear Dad + Mom: Just got thru with another 24 hour shift we work one day and rest the next a heck of a schedule, but maybe they will change it soon.  We have the engines all in our plane and yesterday I worked on superchargers, they cost in the neighborhood of eighteen thousand dollars [complete?].  We are putting in three new ones.  Got a letter yesterday from one of my friends from {Shiffard?] Field he is now at [McChard?] Field Washington.  He thinks he likes it fine but he will probably move soon.  I also [illegible] by the Union that Carl [Bruihks?] is at Ogden Utah thats not so awfully far from here 175 miles I expect.  If I had more time I would write to him.  Last night we had quite a stiff little wind and some rain.  We had to [illegible] [illegible] the planes and it blew our [illegible] [illegible] where we were working assembling superchargers.  Tonight I plan to go to the movies and see "Piere of the Plains" it should be a good action picture, [blood?] and thunder.  Must get my hair cut also it's getting
