August 29, 1942 Wendover, Utah Dear Dad + Mom: Bay is getting cool out here I even got out my [S.J.?] wool under wear and wore the sweat shirt last night and then I was cold. We worked again last night another 24 hr shift. We use little portable lighting units for light I'd like to have one they be handy around a farm or if you went camping. I didn't even get up for dinner today through I would rather sleep. I'm getting mail for a John M. Graham again and I had a couple of those letters [illegible] at Sheppard Field there isn't any other on the field the address must be mixed up. There is a William Graham in our squadron from New York State but none of our Grahams I don't think. Its rather cloudy here this afternoon perhaps it will rain
