[1?] tank makin etc, I expect Paul knew everyplace they went as he is very interested in racing. Im glad that the corn looks good I would sure like to see it & smell it, gosh if we can just keep the frost off for a while and Ive never seen a year but what we had frost scare. No one worried about a frost out here nothing to freeze. You would thing with no vegetation it would be a good place for hay fever victims but I know a couple of fellows here who are more than sneezing and snorting red eyes, sore nose and all. The [illegible] shift Im on I cant see a show they have a matinee at 2:30 but it doesnt let out soon enough so I cant go. Its only a week then we change so I wont miss many. We have a visiting general on the field now for a few days so we have to be on our toes. Keep the barracks especially good, the ramp cleaned up of oil spats etc. Havent seen him yet but [illegible] he'll be around. How does Dave like the army by now I see he is major now. That should please him very much. What did he ride in the parade or did he walk with Carl Palmer, Ray Fals and George [Quander?]. Love Johnny
