Sept. 21, 1942. Wendover, Utah Dear Dad & Mom: Changed shifts today, worked in the daytime for a change, it seemed good. You accomplish so much more. Worked from noon till eight oclock. Worked in inspections. Im trying to write this in the dayroom and there's so much racket that I cant think and what with ducking ping pong balls & the radio it's quite a handicap. Its pretty well established where we are going now but dont say much about it until we move. It is to be a new field near Pueblo Colorado, those who have seen it say it is a nice place. New barracks and theatre & P X etc. The town is about 95,000 population so there should be something doing most of the time. It willb e some 600 miles
