Sept. 22, 1942 Wendover, Utah dear Dad & Mom: Just got off work so I thought I'd write between now and chow time. We dont eat until 9 PM so it gives me almost an hour. We did a 25 hour inspection on one of our ships it only has 25 hours to run until it is time for a complete engine change. Thats just a little over one days flying. Our squadron has the record on the filed form the most flying hours in a month. Got your letter written Saturday today. Im sorry it is so darn cold back home, it is the same way here but no rain. When the sun goes down it gets cold right now you are warm up until sun set and then your shiver. My friend from Indiania got
