Got a letter from Fred Bruckner today as well as one from you. I expect it will be a mixed up mess with mail. I only moved 2 barracks I don't know why we moved but think it has something to do with our classes. For three of the last phases we split up into 3 groups instead of 2 and only go six hours for day I believe this is due to shortage of equipment in those branches. I haven't gotten the pie from Mrs. Hay yet but soon will no doubt. I surely hope everything goes allright on the farm and it makes some money. I'm going to buy some bonds, take $6.25 out of my pay every month that will make four bonds a year at least I can save a little that way. It won't be long before I will get $30.00 per month and even with that $6.25 out it will still be more than I get now. As I get them paid for they will be sent home & you can look after them. They don't compell anyone to sign up for bonds but the earnestly urge it. They are getting in quite a few planes for repair down here it is good experience for everyone to see just what makes them tick and why. Just come in from exercises we really do some strenuous ones. I haven't been eating dinner for a couple of weeks so I might lose some of the weight I've gained, so I expect it would be a good thing if the cookie & candy supply did run out at home. I'll miss it tho but Dad has done okay without cookies for some time. I don't know why I gained I don't use any sugar except on dry cereal when we have it no potatoes & very little bread & don't drink their coffee because its junk. I'm glad the papering is done out to the farm & hope they are pleased with it. How much did the seed corn make me this year I surely want to pay Dad what I owe on the farm. I'll write again as quickly as I can. Love Johnny
