With my usual luck I drew the graveyard shift from 6pm until 12 midnite for the next three phases. Maybe its the best one it will be the coolest one to work and we can sleep late in the morning. I stayed with my bunch anyway there are a lot of good eggs in it. Some of the fellows are really sunburned, the other day they layed out in the sun and baked nicely, might be a little rare but I believe some are cooked thru. I profited from future references and didn't try it. Would like to get a good tan tho. I've worn out two sets of soles and heels and am working on another set since I've been in the army. That's the fastest I ever wore out shoes. Haven't worn out where my foot rested on the accelerator and brake pedal either. My feet haven't bothered me at all however my shoes fit fine and are comfortable. I'll try & write Dick Westerfield soon. I expect he thinks I'm an awful piker but it seems I don't have a moments time. I believe one lost some weight here lately, hope so anyway. I reckon I'd better quit as lights are going out. All the boys are kicking, they are broke & wont get paid until after memorial day. Love Johnny.
