Earl [Aumes?] wrote me about the corn not coming out just right. I believe I'll tell him I will quit as it is an awful nuisance going thru the yard and it would be more fair to the company if they had a dealer. He said I could have the territory back when I get home and the dealers in the adjoining territories would take it over. It is still mighty hot down here and will probably get lots hotter. Gee it made me feel good when you told me how good the crops looked on my farm. I surely hope we have a good crop this season. Dad surely got a good price for his bull 10 cents a pound is mighty good. I got a letter from Plegg he said he was renting my pasture. I didn't know where the calves were. He says the grain is excellent. Also heard from Cleo who is now in Waterloo learning to be an airplane instructor. I think he'd be better off on the farm. How's the new permanent, is it fuzzy? I am very sorry about Dorothy and hope se gets along fine. Poor kid has had lots of trouble. I'm getting way behind on letters again. I've had so many nice ones. I must write Rev. Whina and thank him for the card shower. Love, Johnny
