bad. In a few small areas in front of the [orderly?] rooms they have bermuda grass started. We get paid tomorrow our first $50 pay day [illegible]. I'll have $6.25 out for bonds, $2.09 out for insurance. I have about $4.00 for laundry this time as they won't allow us to hang any clothes in the barracks anymore. So I won't have just a fabulous sum when all incidental expenses are taken out. Thanks for the money a week ago it really came in handy. I went to the dentist again yesterday that little gold filling my lower front tooth lost out so they put one in of porcelain. I'm afraid it won't stay but it might. He said my teeth are in good condition now. Just had a mail call. I got a letter from Grandma. I haven't had time to open yet as its getting near drill time. One of my friends got an awful sunburn yesterday he had a pass because his girl was down here (I guess he borrowed another fellow and sneaked out) and went swimming he is as red as can be everywhere except where his trunk came. I hope we all go to the same place when we leave here I've met a lot of nice fellows here and will hate to part ways with them. Well its time for drill. Love Johnny
