it yet but believe I will like it fine. Our superior offices I have seen seem like nice fellows. I wish you could see the cactus we have here every type imaginable many are now in bloom and are certainly beautiful. Red, yellow, orange, white, and all colors & shapes are the blossoms. The mountains are pretty too, that blue haze of distance makes them rather nice even if there is no [illegible] on them. I was lucky in that I got to live in a barracks instead of a tent, I think the tents would be rather warm daytimes. Also we have our showers and other [illegible] handy. We don't have hot water showers but due to the climatic conditions the water is quite temperate. Wish I might go to town but don't have a pass yet it looked like a new pretty town as we came thru it on the train. I have certainly had two nice trips out here in the west if I don't have any more but it looks as tho we might jump around considerably for the next few months. I have more money now than I've ever had in the army just got a partial payment today as we probably wont get paid while we are jumping around the country. I have fifty six dollars now, am debating on sending part of it home but may need it. There is a fellow waiting to mail this for me so I'll quit. Enjoyed your letter so much will try & write regularly as I can. Love Johnny
