start doing calisthenics on m [illegible] as we don't have them out here. Did a washing yesterday it surely didn't take things long to dry. In about fifteen minutes handkerchiefs & shorts were dry & in half an hour my wool socks were dry. It seems funny to wear wool when it's so hot but they say its better for your feet, mine haven't bothered me a bit. Ronald Reagan & Burgess Meredith are on this field to film some scenes for "Rear Gunner" maybe some day we'll all see the show. Some of the fellows have seen them but I haven't. Don't guess you would like it probably will be a wild one. We have lots of planes here seems like one taking off or landing all the time. Lots of equipment too, jeeps, trucks, etc. Haven't had to stand guard or be on K.P. here on this field, maybe I've been lucky or perhaps I'll get it yet. The air is surely clear here Tucson is eight miles from here and it only looks like about a mile away. I don't know how far the mountains are away but they look real close. However I'd hate to start out to walk over to them in an afternoon or day. Have a couple of guitar & harmonica players in our barracks they are pretty good but their ballads
