1865 New Hartford September Wed. 6 Took cars for Waterloo to attend the G.L of G.T. T.H. Whiting and my self dined near the Depot Thu. 7. Waterloo. At Hotel rainy to-day bo't. cloth for pants - G.L. meet in the M. Church. Took dinner at "[Ayers?]" heard Gen Vandever & Gov. Stone Speak. Went & saw Brannard about Tavern Fri. 8 At Brannards all night To the G Lodge as (?) held at the M. Church, rec'd free pass home Went at 3 1/2 P.M. & waited till dark for cars. got home at 9 o'clock Sat. 9th cleaned out stables & layed stable floor for the horses. rainy and clean cut out my pants, took to "[illegible]"
