1865 New Hartford Sep Fri. 15 M. Needham here. Pa. went to C. Falls at 3 A.m. & bo't. casting to Henrys Mower $4.50 attended N. Hartford Fair all day Some 1500 persons present Sat 16 Went to Henrys with team & cut Sugar Cane 3/4 day cut my 3rd finger drew home ballance of hay 500 lbs At Good Templars I have worked this week for Henry 1 3/4 Days Team 1 day Sun. 17 Eld. Littlefield here allnight went to church to hear him preach went after Julia Elmer's house Mon. 18 went to H. Pecks to work with Team drew 4 lds cane & "[ground?]" Ed. Foster & Hannah returned from Boylons Grove
