1865 Fairfield Grundy Sep Wed. 27 Rainy this morning cut wood. to S Pecks for plow &c commenced Grinding cane 11 o clock. Henry at home the P.m. I have made a full days work, & my Team 1/2 day Thu 28 Henry away Threshing we lacked one hand about cane mill hard bad luck Fri 29 Ground cane as usual made over 40 Gall. Henry away Sat Sep 30 Ground cane. Henry at home. I have worked this week for H Peck 6 days & Team 5-1/2 days. at the G Temple
