1865 New Hardford, Oct. Fri. 20 I made wagon box Livingston jointed the boards Burdick a new Blacksmith done the Iron work Aunt Clara returned Sat 21 Painted wagon box &c P.m. Washed all the pulled wool "[Shantz?]" here & looked at wool Sund 22 at Church Eld. Orcutt preached Stayed to S School the Summers school closed today and presents were awared by Supt. E.H. Collins he gave me a nice book I took Hannah to Esthers Mon. 23 Rainy. we pryed up our house T. Lindsay's Stable struck by lightning he lost 1 horse, 2 hogs. I signed $2.50 at C. Ensigns "[illegible]"
