1865 New Hartford Nov Sun 5 CR Harmon & Wm Collins here all night at church Eld. Orcutt preached at S. School to C. Ensigns evening Mon 6 R. Shantz left his wool here for me to take to Waterloo. Drew manure to bank *(illegible)* & 1 ld. wood. Took Mr. Burlick and his two daughters to Clarks for a Teachers Certificate. Tues 7 went to Waterloo to mill and traded wool for cloth C. Ensign went to Falls & back with me bought grind stone Wed. 8 Picked 2 lds corn at Mr. Burlicks eve, May Lewis here
