New Hartford Jan 25, 1866 Thur 25 Silas Needham here last night. [Secured?] ox & went to Ketchum's Timber to [get?] a tree that he owed us. he helped cut it. drew ld. wood out of it at church with M. Raymond Fri. 26 I drew 1 heavy ld of stone started at 8.20 am and got home 2 1/2 P.M. I left our Drill at Cartrights (illegible) Saw Sherwood Ewing about rent he did not pay any at P.O. till 9 P.M. this is my 22d Birthday and I went to bed this morning a half hour after twelve without thinking about it
