Thu Apr 5th 1866 Eugene & I drew 8 lbs stone I drew 1 ld of wood to break this ton Adams pd $5.00 rent - having taken possession Apr 3rd Fri Apr 6th Eld. Merritt stayed here last night. I went (?) I split 27 rails by post I split 16 rails (?) & some posts. Mattie went to Livingstons visiting We took tea there. Sat Apr 7th I went to Wimple and got 35 bush oats - 1/2 bush potato bo't of Bagens 7 1/2 bush potatoes (?) 7.25 bo't of Jerome 3 bush potatos and 7 1/2 lbs pork @ 13 cts & he pd 2.10 amt 50 at I. O. of ST. Sun Apr 8 At church Eld Merriat preached and baptized 10 persons at Wm. Burdick P.M.
