Tues May 1st 1866 Mike & I split 100 posts. Pa drew so on the N. line quite cold today Isac Chapman came along having started for Brooklin. He settled up - pd 6.75 on order for stone & bedstead Wed May 2d We cut (?) & 16 rails & sol 2/5 of the posts on N. line of house lot Thu 3 set posts & nailed on 1/2 the rails on the North line, Eugene cut poles Gilbert helped nail on rails 1/4 day 1/2 day Mattie & Hannah went to Esther bot iron wedge of Adams 1.00 Mike rode L. Dell to Cartwrights Fri Apr 8. Mrs Hare visiting Mike & Eugene finished the 4 rail fence. I plowed the garden over again Saw J. Bradley
