March 15, 1978 Dear Lou - Your mother told me you are going to have that trip to Australia and I know how much you had hoped for that. It seems like a very long time since I have seen you so I will be anxious for your next visit to Elkader and an account of some of the wonders you will see. During W.W.I. it seemed as if we came in contact with the New Zealanders and the Aussies more than we did with the English and among other things I was fas-cinated by those beautiful hats with their emu feathers - so do keep your eyes open for an emu. I do not think that the Register photographer did justice to the picture of the court-house. My 5 weeks in Dubuque
