September 18th My dear Mother and Father At last I have had some mail from you and now they will keep on coming I know. I was glad to hear of the safe arrival of my suit case and jewelry and also glad to get all of the local news. I have written to you fairly regularly since last fall but I suppose letters don't go through that way very well. I could write a great deal from here if we were allowed to but that cant be helped now and things are going so well for us
